Windows Users

Step 1. Download and install FileOpen software

1. Click Here to install the FileOpen software. You will be presented with the dialog box pictured below:


2. When prompted, Click RUN to install the plug-in. This dialog box will appear:


3. When installation is complete, you will be prompted:

Step 2. Register your computer.

1. Maximize your email window, and locate the Notification for your publication. Your PDF will will either be attached or you will be instructed to download it.

2. When you open the PDF you will be prompted to enter your email address and password (both given in your email notification)


3. Enter the email and password provided in your email notification and click OK. As as new subscriber you will pe presented with the dialog box below.


4 . As indicated, click accept to register your computer. You will be directed to the page pictured below where you must register your computer. You are allowed to register a maximum of 3 computers.


Step 3. Open your publication.

1. Go back to either your email notification carrying your PDF or your downloaded PDF, and open the file. You will again be prompted to enter your email address and password, provided in your email notification:


Once entered, click ok. You will have to enter this information only once per issue. If you try to open your publication on a different computer, you will be prompted to follow steps 1 through 3 again.

Note: IF you are not allowed to download or run applications (.exe files):

1. Click Here to download the non-.exe FileOpen software
2. When prompted, SAVE the file to your desktop
3. Copy the file from your desktop into:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 4.0|5.0|6.0/7.0\Acrobat|Reader\plug-ins

If you are a Mac User:

Step 1. Plugin Installation:

1. Click Here to download the FileOpen software
2. When prompted, SAVE the file to your desktop
3. Double-click the downloaded file, you will get a FileOpenInstaller icon on your desktop, double click on this it will open a new window, in this window locate FileOpen Installer to run the installation.

Step 2. You are now ready to open your magazine:

1. Click on the download link in your email
2. Open the PDF
3 . If you are a new user, you will be asked to register your machine. Please select appropriate option from the given options. After registering your machine, open the PDF.
4 . Enter your subscriber email address and Qmags password from your email.
